Yesterday we moved up to Virginia from South Carolina, to get a little closer to PA for our Erie trip next month. This move also put us within three hours of Delaware where we picked up our new shih tzu puppy, Digby.
Now let me just say that we tried to adopt. We would have been happy to rescue a dog in need. But none of the places we tried wanted to let RVers adopt. It is a shame that because we are nomadic, we were not able to give pound puppy a forever home. Instead we were lucky enough to find this cutie.
Before we picked him up we bought out a couple of pet stores to make sure we had everything we needed. Instead of the bone, chew toy, ball or frisbee we got him he just wanted to play with this washcloth.
He took the 3 hour ride home like a champ and looks like he will be a great travel companion.
Much like Xander did when he first arrived home, Digby immediately christened the carpet, but that is what puppies do.
So far the cats are withholding judgement, but they aren't sure about him yet.
Digby is very mellow so far and has slept most of the time we have had him.
Now Digby is settled
into his new home and we are going to be torturing our readers with
puppy pictures for what we hope will be a very long time.
